80-year old man found dead, money, mobile phones missing

 A 70-year old man who used to reside alone was found murdered in his residence in Dharmanagar’s Sabaspur, police said on Friday.The victim identified as Allauddin alias Alaiya Miah  might have been killed two or three days ago as foul smell is animating from the body.Allauddin, who used to live at Sabaspur alone normally visits his neighbourhood but his movement was not seen for the past two days. One of his relatives went to Allauddin’s residence on Thursday evening and his door was closed from inside.Sensing trouble, he informed the neighours and police as well. After being alerted by the villagers, a police team rushed to the spot and broke open the door and recovered the body.“We have recovered the body and sent it to a nearby health facility for postmortem. The cause of death could be ascertained only after getting a post mortem report”, said Officer in Charge (OC), Dharmanagar police station, Himadri Das. Money and his mobile phone were not seen inside his room, he said
