A student was seriously injured in the bomb blast at the school

Agartala, March 15: A student was seriously injured in a homemade bomb blast in a school toilet. On Wednesday afternoon, there was an intense panic after the bomb blast in Nagar High School in Kalsimura, Buxnagar. Five more bombs were recovered from the spot. On receiving the information, the police of Kalamchoura police station rushed to the spot. Currently, the injured student is undergoing treatment at GB Hospital.

A school official said that around 12 noon on Wednesday, a class V student was doing nature work in the abandoned toilet of the old building of Nagar High School when he found a bag. The student was curious and shook the bomb in the bag when it exploded with a loud sound. The student was seriously injured. He said that the injured student is Taifur Rahman, son of Muslim Mia, a resident of Kalsimura village panchayat area. The school teachers rushed after hearing the loud sound of the bomb blast and the scream of the student. Local people and family also rushed to the news. He said that when the family immediately took him to Buxnagar Social Health Center, the doctor on duty gave him first aid and shifted him to GB Hospital.

He also said that a total of five indigenous bombs were found in the bag. Meanwhile, Kalamchoura police received the information and recovered the bomb from the spot. Police have started investigation into the incident.
