Agartala: Nov 22: The All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) has launched a vigorous membership drive to strengthen its organization and garner support for the farming community. Pabitra Kar, the state secretary of AIKS, along with leaders like Ratan Das, visited Indranagar and Krishnanagar areas, distributing leaflets and putting up posters to inform residents about the AIKS's upcoming nationwide trade union movement scheduled for November 26.

Kar highlighted that the primary goal of the membership drive is to amplify the collective voice of farmers and advocate for their rights. The campaign has been met with an enthusiastic response from the residents of both areas, with support flooding in from every household. This strong engagement demonstrates the growing concerns among farmers about their welfare and the lack of adequate government support under the current administration.

The AIKS aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced by farmers, ensuring they receive fair treatment, and pushing for necessary policy changes. With the membership drive gaining momentum, it's evident that farmers in Tripura are looking for a platform to address their issues and demand the support they rightfully deserve. The AIKS’s efforts reflect a broader movement to unite farmers, elevate their voices, and advocate for solutions that benefit the agricultural community. The overwhelming response signals a strong desire for change and a more supportive environment for farmers in the state.
