Annual Conference of The Indian Econometric Society appreciated Tripura University

Tripura University in the northeastern state of Tripura has proven its capability to host an all-India level conference with representatives from across the country. The Department of Economics at Tripura University successfully organized the 58th Annual Conference of The Indian Econometric Society (TIES), a milestone event that showcased the university's academic prowess and organizational skills.The valedictory session of the conference, held at Maharaja Bir Bikram Satabarshiki Bhaban, was marked by a panel discussion on 'Economy of NER: The Way Towards Achieving Sustainable Development Goals.' Er. Sushanta Dutta, Head of the School of Logistics at SIPARD, delivered a lecture during this session.K. Shanmugan, Secretary of TIES, expressed his appreciation for the students and faculty of the Economics Department at Tripura University for their diligent efforts in organizing the conference. The delegates and renowned economists from across India gave a standing ovation to the department for the successful arrangement of the event, which was led by Professor Subhrabaran Das, the Head of the Economics Department.The valedictory session was attended by prominent figures including Prof. S. Mahendra Dev, President of TIES, Dr. Ajit Ranade, Vice-Chancellor of GIPE-Pune, Dr. M. P. Bezbaruah, Vice President of TIES, Dr. K. Shanmugan, Secretary of TIES, Dr. Subhrabaran Das, Local Organising Secretary, and Dr. Pradiptarathi Panda, Treasurer of TIES.Mahuya Debnath, a student of the Economics Department, presented a gift to Prof. K.L. Krishna, a renowned economist from India. Prof. Krishna expressed his gratitude and blessed the students of the department.
