Capacity Building Training cum Award Ceremony Strengthens CFL Outreach in Tripura

A “Capacity Building Training Session cum Award Giving Ceremony of Staff under CFL Project – Tripura 2026” was successfully organised by Bagma Agri Producer Company Ltd. on May 12 at the company’s conference hall, bringing together Centre for Financial Literacy (CFL) staff from Gomati, South, Sepahijala and West Tripura districts.The programme focused on enhancing the efficiency, coordination and field-level effectiveness of CFL personnel engaged in promoting financial literacy and inclusion among rural communities across Tripura.Addressing the gathering, Farukul Islam, CEO of BAPCL, emphasised the importance of continuous capacity building, teamwork and dedicated grassroots engagement for the successful implementation of the CFL Project in the state. Sanjib Dey, Assistant Project Manager of CFL, also highlighted the growing role of financial awareness initiatives in empowering rural households and strengthening access to banking and financial services.The technical sessions were conducted by Riktima Moitro Mukherjee, S. K. Thakur and Manoj Bhowmik. The speakers appreciated the efforts of CFL staff in spreading awareness on financial management, banking schemes, digital transactions and financial inclusion in rural areas.Shyam Bihari, who was present during the programme, assured continued support and cooperation for the activities being undertaken by CFL staff across various districts.An interactive session was also organised during the event where staff members discussed field-level challenges, experiences in community mobilisation and possible strategies for improving outreach and effectiveness of financial literacy campaigns in remote areas.o recognise dedication and outstanding performance, awards were distributed in several categories including Best CFL Centre, Best Block Coordinator, Best DEO and Best Monitoring Officer. The initiative boosted the morale of the staff and encouraged healthy competition among field functionaries.The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Sudip Majumder, who expressed gratitude to the guests, trainers and participants for contributing to the success of the event and reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment towards strengthening financial literacy initiatives in Tripura
