Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Inaugurates New Auditorium at Tripura Institute of Technology

Agartala: Dec 10: On December 10, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the newly constructed auditorium at Tripura Institute of Technology (TIT) in Narsinghgarh. The event also featured a blood donation camp organized by the college's NSS unit. Dr. Saha emphasized the importance of having an auditorium in any institution, stating that it serves as a vital platform for various events and student performances. He also highlighted the state government's aim to build an auditorium in every educational institution.

 

Dr. Saha discussed the strong relationship between students and teachers, sharing his own experience as a medical college teacher. He stressed the significance of learning and encouraged students to tap into the knowledge their teachers possess. Referencing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's emphasis on the role of educated youth in shaping the future, he urged students to strengthen their foundation during their academic years.

 

The Chief Minister also shared insights from his recent trips to Mumbai and Delhi, where he reviewed potential locations for the Tripura Bhavan in Mumbai and a new Tripura Bhavan in Delhi. He reflected on the history of TIT, recalling its earlier days as a Polytechnic Institute, which had faced violence and unrest in the 1970s.

 

Addressing the modernization of ITIs in the state, Dr. Saha announced a partnership with Tata Technologies to invest 700 crore rupees to upgrade the nearly 19 ITIs in Tripura. This initiative is expected to improve infrastructure and provide enhanced job opportunities for graduates. The Chief Minister also spoke about attracting investors, citing his meeting with Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, who showed interest in visiting Tripura soon.

 

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including MLA Nayan Sarkar, Special Secretary of the Education Department Ravel Hemendra Kumar, and TIT's Principal Vijay Kumar Upadhyay. The newly built auditorium, which cost 18 crore rupees, has 885 seats and aims to support the comprehensive development of education in Tripura.
