Mega Jan Suraksha camp organised at Nalchar Block

A Mega Jan Suraksha Camp was organised at the Nalchar Block Community Hall as part of a nationwide financial inclusion campaign aimed at ensuring that every citizen comes under the ambit of financial security. The campaign, which started on 1 July, will continue till 30 September 2025 across the country with the active participation of all banks.The programme was inaugurated by Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu, who also delivered the keynote address as the chief guest. State Minister Kishore Barman, Tripura Gramin Bank Chairman Satyanand Singh, Punjab National Bank Executive Chairman Hitprasad Mahapatra, Reserve Bank of India Tripura Branch General Manager Surendra Singh, Sabhadhipati of Sipahijala Zilla Parishad Supriya Das Dutta and several other dignitaries were present on the occasion.In his welcome address, Tripura Gramin Bank Chairman Satyanand Singh explained that the special drive is being conducted to revive dormant bank accounts by updating Know Your Customer (KYC) documents. He informed that during this three-month campaign, around 2.7 lakh awareness camps will be held nationwide, including 753 camps in Tripura. Singh urged people to submit necessary documents to keep their accounts active and to avail government-backed schemes like Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana.RBI General Manager Surendra Singh echoed the same message, stressing the benefits of financial protection schemes for those outside government employment
