Minor girl raped in multipletime, one arrested

Saddam Husain, the prime accused of raping a minor girl for multiple time was sent to 14-day judicial custody after being produced before a local court in Sepahijala district, police said on Wednesday.Another accused indentified as Abhishek Chakraborty is absconding.The 16-year girl of Bishalgarh in Sepahijala district, who befriended to two youths- Saddam Hussain and Abhishek Chakraborty through Facebook and Instagram in March, was raped on multiple occasions, said Officer in Charge (OC), Bishalgarh Women’s police station, Sheuli Das.“On April 27, the girl was taken to Saddam’s house at Maynama, a remote village of Sepahijala district where she was raped by Saddam and his friend- Abhishek. However, the victim managed to escape from their clutch and returned home following morning”, she (OC) said.Observing abnormality in the girl’s health, her parents insisted to know what has happened to her.“On this, the girl who was allegedly threatened not to reveal the crime to anyone, told ordeal to her mother. Accordingly, a specific FIR was lodged against the duo at Bishalgarh Women’s police station on Tuesday. We arrested the prime accused and got him to jail remand for two weeks after being produced before the court. We are trying to arrest another accused in the rape case”, she said
