MLA finally seeks apology for misbehaving with poll official

A BJP MLA, Yadav Lal Nath, who was served a show cause notice for manhandling a poll official under Bagabassa Assembly constituency during second phase of elections to East Tripura Lok Sabha seat, has sought apology for his act, said a poll official on Saturday.The BJP legislator was served a show cause notice by the District Election Officer, North Tripura district for allegedly manhandling a polling officer during voting for Tripura East Lok Sabha constituency on April 28.“In response to the notice, MLA Yadav Lal Nath submitted his reply to the District Election Officer (DEO) seeking apology for his act at a booth under Bagabassa Assembly constituency on April 26. He (Nath) also promised that he will not get involved in such an incident in future”, said the poll official. Acting on the reply, the DEO warned the ruling party MLA of not getting involved in such an act.
