Motha supremo calls on Governor, to meet party candidates shortly

A delegation of TIPRA Motha Party, led by party supremo Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, met Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu, at Lok Bhavan here on Saturday.The regional party retained the power in Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) by winning 24 out of 28 seats disseminating its rival- the BJP which finished at four on Friday.“It was a courtesy call after the elections. The Governor told he will consult with the legal experts and issue a notification for oath taking of the newly elected members and executive council. Once the notification comes, we will proceed as per law”, he said As the term of the present council ends on Saturday, Purna Chandra Jamatia submitted his resignation letter to the Governor. Brishaketu Debbarma, the Minister along with Runiel DebBarma and C.K. Jamatia, were also present at the meeting.Party sources said, the party founder will meet all the contesting candidates and the newly elected MDCs of the TIPRA Motha Party at Manikya Court, North Gate at 4.45 pm here to decide the future course of strategy
