Agartala: Dec 04: It is alleged that the BJP workers went to house-to-house raids in Jarul Bachai Muchrai neighborhood of 17th Golaghati assembly constituency and were attacked by miscreants sheltered by Tipra. 6 people were seriously injured. Other BJP workers were injured in the head, face, hands. About 40 miscreants allegedly attacked with sharp weapons including knives. Later they were rescued and brought to Ananda Nagar Health Centre. They are currently under treatment. MLA Birendra Kishore Debbarma, Dukli Block Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Ajay Kumar Das and other leaders visited the injured BJP workers on Sunday. This incident happened because of party changes. BJP workers are being selectively attacked. Hence a case has been registered against the accused Sukanta Debbarma, Shambhu Charan Debbarma, Nakul Debbarma, Bikram Debbarma, Subal Debbarma, Jaga Debbarma, Jishnu Dev Varma and Manoj Debbarma.
