Students of NSM Complete Internship at BAPCL, Gain Real-World Experience

Students of the Bengali Major Department of Netaji Subhash Mahavidyalaya (NSM) have successfully completed a 15-day internship programme conducted in collaboration with Bagma Agri Producer Company Limited (BAPCL). The internship, held during the academic session, aimed to provide students with practical exposure to real-life work culture, organizational management, and the functioning of a Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO).The programme was supervised and guided by Dr. Archana Dandapath (Head of Department and Associate Professor of Bengali), Dr. Shankari Das (Assistant Professor), Partha Sarathi Chakraborty (PGT-H.E), and Pranab Kr. Das (PG Faculty). They appreciated the students’ enthusiasm and sincerity throughout the internship period.During the internship, the students were actively involved in various field activities and projects under BAPCL, including the Tribal Development Fund (TDF), Centre for Financial Literacy (CFL), and RKM projects on dairy, goatery, and poultry. They visited beneficiary households to understand how these initiatives have been improving rural livelihoods.The students also gained hands-on experience in preparing reports, maintaining records, and conducting surveys and feedback sessions. They learned about the operational aspects of FPOs, agricultural systems, and enterprise management through exposure to BAPCL’s Dairy Business Unit, IFS Model Farm, and BAPCL MART.Faculty members noted that the internship not only strengthened the students’ understanding of teamwork, time management, and communication skills but also boosted their confidence and professional discipline. The students expressed that the experience helped them connect their classroom learning with real-world applications and deepened their awareness of rural development and farmers’ welfare.The Department of Bengali at NSM expressed pride in the students’ commitment and performance, emphasizing that such initiatives bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical experience
