Countdown begins as poll campaign for Parliamenary seat, Ramanagar AC ends peacefully

The campaign for Tripura West Lok Sabha constituency and byeletion in Ramnagar Assembly constituency ended peacefully on Wednesday, a poll official said.Rallies, door to door campaign and roadshows marked the two-week long high decibel camapaign with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi added glamour to campaign trail.Although as many as nine candidates are in the fray for Tripura West Parliamentary constituency, the battle will be between BJP led coalition candidate Biplab Kumar Deb and INDIA Bloc nominee Asish Kumar Saha, who is the president of Pradesh Congress.During the campaign, political parties have lodged as many as 62 complaints and out of which 59 have been disposed based on the inquiry, said addl Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Subhashis Bandopadhayay .He said as many as 13 government employees were suspended for violating model code of conduct till the date All the polling parties will leave for their assigned polling stations with poll materials on Thursday for conducting voting on April 19, he said adding all the preparations including security arrangement have been made.A total of 14.61 lakh voters will decide the fate of nine candidates. Of the total 14.61 lakh, male counts for 7.33 lakh and female voters stand at 7.28 lakh
