Agartala, April 15: The educational fraternity mourns the loss of Jatiya Shikkhak (National Teacher), Paresh Chakraborty, who breathed his last recently. A revered figure both within the state and across the nation, Teacher Chakraborty’s legacy leaves an indelible mark on generations of learners.

In 1992, Teacher Paresh Chakraborty received the prestigious President’s Award for his outstanding contributions to education. His dedication and commitment to shaping young minds earned him widespread respect.

At the time of his demise, Teacher Chakraborty was 88 years old. Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha expressed profound grief over the sudden loss. He took to social media to convey his condolences to Teacher Chakraborty’s family and friends. The Chief Minister prayed for the departed soul’s eternal peace.

Union Minister Pratima Bhoumik also expressed her sadness at the passing of the National Award-winning teacher. Her heartfelt prayers go out to Teacher Chakraborty’s soul.

Minister Ratan Lal Nath, deeply affected by the news, remembered Teacher Chakraborty as the former headmaster of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Vidyamandir in Dhaleshwar, Agartala. As one of the main founders of Ramakrishna Ashrama in Ranir Kham, Teacher Chakraborty’s influence extended far beyond the classroom. Minister Nath extended his condolences to the grieving family and expressed his belief that the departed soul would find eternal rest in the presence of Sri Sri Thakur at Ramakrishna Loka.
