Minor girl kidnapped from Kailashahar rescued in Ahmedabad

A minor girl who was kidnapped from Tripura’s Kailashahar area was rescued from Gujarat’s Ahmedabad and taken back on Monday, said a police officer.The minor girl was allegedly kidnapped by a youth identified as Amit Chandra Das (27) of North Tripura Dharmanagar area on December 18, 2023.  The police based on a specific complaint have started scientific investigation to trace the girl and girl’s presence was spotted somewhere in Ahmedabad, said Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Kailashahar Jayanta Karmakar,on Monday.“Accordingly, the Investigating Officer (IO) of the case, Sub Inspector, Pompi Nath was sent to Ahmedabad to rescue the abducted girl a few days back. With the help of Gujarat police, our officer rescued the girl from a locality in Ahmedabad. We were also able to arrest the abductor from the same place. Both are taken to Kailashahar safely”, he said.The accused will be forwarded to the court on Monday seeking police for investigation of the case, he said
