PM Modi to address rally on Wednesday, no fly zone declared in state's air space

A no-fly zone has been declared in the flying area of Triura in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the northeastern state, an official said on Tuesday.The Prime Minister is scheduled to address an election rally at Swami Vivekananda ground in Agartala on Wednesday, the last date of campaign for Tripura West Lok Sabha constituency.“Keeping in mind of the Prime Minister’s visit on April 17, a no-fly zone for choppers and drones has been imposed in the state’s flying zone for April 16 and 17 to ensure tight security. However, the commercial flight can use the state’s airspace”, District Magistrate (DM), West district, Vishal Kumar said.Around 1500 security personnel will be deployed as part of a three-tier security layer for the Prime Minister during the visit to the northeastern state, he said, adding the state security agencies are working in association with the Special Protection Group (SPG).“The Prime Minister is scheduled to land at MBB Airport at 1.45 and will go to Swami Vivekananda ground to address an election rally for BJP candidates in two Lok Sabha constituencies and byelection to Ramnagar Assembly constituency”, BJP’s state general secretary Amit Rakshit said.Chief Minister Manik Saha, party candidates and senior party functionaries will remain present in the rally, he said.The election in Tripura West Lok Sabha constituency and byelection to Ramnagar Assembly seat will be held on April 19 and polling for Tripura West Lok Sabha seat will take place on April 26
