Woman’s body recovered at Teliamura

Police recovered the body of a woman from Jaroilang area under Teliamura police, police said on Friday.The woman, identified as Shanti Debbarma (37) of Jaroilong having drink with her husband Suryaram Debbarma on the occasion of Holi festival, went to sleep on Wednesday night. Late in the night, she wake up and went out of the room and did not return. Since the husband was in under the influence of alcohol did not search for his wife.On Thursday morning, Suryaram started searching his wife at Jaroilong but could not trace his missing wife. However, the villagers found a body was lying at a place, barely 200 meter from her house and alerted the police.Following a call, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and sent it to a nearby health facility for postmortem.Police started an investigation into the case and no arrest has been made so far
