NITI Aayog has conceptualised a three month drive, named as Sampoornata Abhiyan

In Tripura, an awareness drive, called Sampoorna Abhiyan, mentored by the NITI Aayog was begun today at Ganganagar RD block in Dhalai, an aspiration district. The program was inaugurated by the Special Advisor of NITI Aayog, Rajib Sen and the district magistrate Saju Vaheed. Amongst others, officials from NITI Aayog, state administration and common people were present in the program.On the occasion, Special Advisor of NITI Aayog, Rajib Sen said that the focus and aim of this Sampoornata Abhiyan is that the performance in the identified six social development indicators would reach 100 percent through the three month long campaign. He said that the awareness drive that started today would be completed by September 30.The NITI Aayog team, headed by Mr Rajib Sen, also interacted with the ASHA and Anganwadi workers to take stock of the progress and related issues. Mr Sen later discussed with the officers of the department and advised them of steps to resolve the issues. The team also inspected exhibition stalls put up on the occasions by several line departments. They also visited an Anganwadi Centre and a Health Wellness Centre at Ganganagar. Later, they took part in a ‘Godh Varai’ program held for the pregnant women at the Ganganagar Anganwadi center. On the occasion, local artistes performed the traditional dances and cultural skits of Tripura. Officials said that the Aspirational District Program (ADP) was launched in 2018 by the Prime Minister with the aim of speedy and effective transformation of 112 most underdeveloped districts across the country. Later in 2023, the Aspirational Blocks Program covering 500 underdeveloped blocks was started. Observing the good impact of these programs and aimed at achieving 100% success, the NITI Aayog has conceptualised a three month drive, named as Sampoornata Abhiyan, to carry out a sustained campaign to achieve saturation in six identified indicators.In the state, aspirational blocks programs are in force at three rural development blocks such as Ganganagar RD Block in Dhalai district and Damchara and Dasda blocks in North Tripura district.
