CM inaugurates Tripura Industries & Commerce fair

Agartala, Jan. 29: Chief Minister Manik Saha on Wednesday asserted the state has been developing at a fast pace as the growth is visible in every corner of the state.
While addressing Tripura Industries and Commerce fair at Badharghat International fair ground, the Chief Minister said the state’s GSDP and per capita income have increased substantially since 2028.
Laying focus on locally available based raw materials industries, Saha said the government has been trying to change the mindset of the youth by pushing them entrepreneurs.
“Recently, I met industrialist Mukesh Ambani in Mumbai and urged him to invest in Tripura where potential is huge. He assured me to send a team to explore possibilities in the industrial sector. Many entrepreneurs are interested to come Tripura for setting up industries. I hope, the state’s industry will get a major boost in the days to come”, he said.
The Chief Minister said the state is set to host a Business Summit to attract investment which is slated to begin from February 7. “We are expecting many industrialists, investors and entrepreneurs to join the summit to boost the state’s industrial quest. Some people have already confirmed their joining”, he said.
Industries Minister Santana Chakma, Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Secretary of Industries Kiran Gitte and Director of Industries and Commerce Vishwashree V also remained present there.
