Four Bangla citizens, one tout arrested from Agartala railway station

Four Bangladeshi nationals and one Indian citizen were arrested when they were about to board a Chennai bound express train at Agartala railway station, a railway police officer said on Saturday.The arrested Bangladeshi citizens were identified as Jahangir Alam (21), Riyad Hussain (22), Onan Hussain (19) and Imam Hussain (23) while Rafikul Islam, who hails from Tripura’s Sepahijala district’s Sonamura appeared assisting the Bangla nationals.“A group of few people  were entering the platform through the main gate of the station to catch a Chennai bound express train on Friday around 5 pm. On suspicion, GRP personnel detained all five persons and taken to police station for interrogation”, Officer in Charge (OC), GRP Agartala station, Tapas Das.He said they could not show any valid document either passport or visa to travel India during preliminary interrogation but said they had plan to go Chennai.  “All the four Bangladeshi nationals were arrested for travelling India without passport and one Indian taut was also arrested for accompanying them. They were forwarded before a local court seeking police remand for further interrogation”, he said.Earlier, eight Bangladeshi citizens were arrested from Agartala railway station for sneaking into Indian soil without passport on May 11
