Northeast Frontier Railway special trains to reduce winter rush of passengers

Guwahati, Dec 31 (H): To reduce overcrowding of passengers on Northeast Frontier Railway, it has been decided to run one-way special train for one trip between Agartala and Okha and another special train for two trips between Dibrugarh and Tambaram.

Train No. 05698 Agartala-Okha will leave Agartala on January 2 (2023) at 7.00 hrs and reach Okha on January 5 at 16.00 hrs. This special train will have two AC-3 tiers, 15 sleeper classes and two baggage cum guard van coaches.

Train No. 05924 Dibrugarh-Tambaram Special will depart Dibrugarh on January 5 and 19 (2023) at 19.25 hrs and reach Tambaram on January 8 and 22 at 5.45 hrs respectively. On the return journey, Tambaram-Dibrugarh Special Train No. 05923 will depart on January 12 and 26 at 10.45 hrs and reach Dibrugarh on January 14 and 28 at 20.50 hrs respectively. In both directions, the special train will pass through Shimlugudi Junction, Dimapur, Guwahati, Goalpara, New Alipurduar, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town, Burdwan, Kharagpur Junction, Bhubaneswar, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada Junction, Chennai Egmore and other important stations. This special train will have a total of 21 coaches including one AC 2-tier, six AC 3-tier, ten sleeper classes, two general coaches and two baggage cum generator brake vans.
