Over 500 schools inspected for endline assessment

Endline assessment started from today in Tripura state where the class-III students will be assessed on Literacy and Numeracy. This survey will reflect the status of student’s educational improvement from last year to this academic year. On the first day of survey near about 70% schools has been completed their assessment. Today the Director Elementary Education N.C Sharma visited Khowai District and other officers/officials of the Directorate covered the other states. The District level officers and IS officers has also visited their concerned districts. So in total near about 500 plus schools of the state has been visited today. During visits it was found that almost 100% schools have maintained all codal formalities of Endline Assessment. Assessment was one on one and Observer was also found present in all schools during assessment. Students were found very happy and excited to participate in the said assessment. It could be expected that 100% schools will be able to complete their assessment in upcoming two days. It is mentionable here that Tripura is the only state that first time planned for such a big event of education.Apart from Endline Assessment today was the 2nd day celebration of ‘Shiksha Saptah’. The day was planned as Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Day (FLN Day). Today a number of schools have arranged for Seminars and Workshops. Through discussions and activities schools tried to make the guardians understand the importance of strong foundation on literacy for their kids. Tomorrow human chains will be created as part of community awareness building for anti-drug abuse. Tomorrow the 3rd day will also be celebrated as sports day
