On January 6, Amit Shah will unveil a 120 feet high 'Polo Tachu' in Manipur

Imphal, December 31 (H.S.): Union Home Minister Amit Shah will come to Manipur on January 6. On this day, he will unveil the 120-feet high 'Polo Tachu' (monument) constructed by the state government at Sangaithel in Imphal West district and also inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of several projects.

State Chief Minister N Biren Singh informed Hindustan Samachar that on January 6, Union Finance Minister Amit Shah will lay the foundation stone of a project worth more than 100 crore rupees in the state, along with an 18-bed private unit at the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) premises, Churachandpur district headquarters. He will inaugurate several projects including colleges at a cost of more than 300 crore rupees.

Among them, the newly constructed 120 feet tall polo tattoo will be unveiled by the Union Home Minister. The Chief Minister said that the tallest monument in the North-Eastern region has been installed on the top of Ibudhu Merzing Hill. The chief minister said statues of 19 Olympians from Manipur have been installed in the park as a symbol of respect for their contribution in the field of sports and games. According to the Chief Minister, this huge statue will popularize Manipur, the home of polo, as well as attract tourists. It will also create employment opportunities for locals.
