Villagers blockade Boxanagar-Bishalgarh road seek immediate rescue of girl

Angry villagers of Manikyanagar under Kalamchoura police station on Monday blockaded Boxanagar-Bishalgarh road demanding immediate release of a girl who was abducted by a Muslim youth on October 22. However, later, the blockade was withdrawn following a request from the police authority to recover the abducted girl at the earliest.Day after the abduction of a minor girl, the villagers went to Kalachoura police station and gave a deputation for early rescue of the girl but it evoked no response.“Finding no other alternative, today we blockaded the road to get the minor girl released. After assurance from the police, we withdrew the road blockade but the villagers will do the same thing if the girl is not recued immediately”, said Jyotsna Ghosh, one of the villagers
