Yaba tablets worth Rs 3.75 crore seized in Ambassa

On the night of November 3, between 9:30 PM and 10:00 PM, police conducted a search operation at a checkpoint where they intercepted a vehicle. During the search, police found 750 packets of yaba tablets, valued at an estimated Rs 3.75 crore on the black market.The vehicle's driver, identified as 28-year-old Ratan Nama Sudra, son of Pintu Nam Sudra, resides in Ward No. 8, Loairpoa, Karikai. However, another suspect, 30-year-old Mehebub Alam from Loairpoa, Jhalal Nagar, managed to give slip to the security personnel.This major operation was led by Officer-in-Charge S. Bhattacharya of the Panisagar police station. The Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Panisagar, Soumya Brata Debbarma, attributed this significant success to the state government's ongoing anti-narcotics campaign.Hailing the operation, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said, “Kudos to Tripura Police! Today, Police personnels intercepted a vehicle coming from neighbouring state at Panisagar Naka and seized 150,000 Yaba tablets worth Rs 3.75 crore.
