Agartala: Jan 03: At a press conference today, Pushpita Gupta, a representative of the Global Bangla Hindu Alliance, made serious allegations against Bangladesh, claiming that the country has transformed into a "terrorist state," posing a threat not only to its own citizens but also to the entire region. Gupta highlighted the ongoing mass uprising in Bangladesh, which has caused widespread instability. She emphasized that Hindu, Chakma, and other minority communities are facing brutal attacks, including displacement, arson, and looting of Hindu-owned businesses.

Gupta also criticized the Bangladeshi government for suppressing freedom of speech, stating that anyone who opposes the government faces arbitrary arrest. She pointed to the case of Chinmay Prabhu, who remains in detention without being granted bail. According to Gupta, the government’s actions are contributing to the growing sense of insecurity among minorities in the country.

In response to the worsening situation, the Global Bangla Hindu Alliance has submitted a five-point demand to the United Nations. Sushant Das, another representative of the organization, called for immediate international intervention, urging the deployment of UN peacekeeping forces to safeguard Hindus and other minority communities. The Alliance also demanded the use of drones to monitor Hindu-dominated areas for their safety and the rehabilitation of displaced minorities. The organization's calls for action highlight the urgent need for global attention and intervention to address the escalating crisis faced by minorities in Bangladesh.
