CM to inaugurate Janajitya Gaurva Diwas programme on Friday

Chief Minister Manik Saha is set to inaugurate the state level programme of Janajitya Gaurav Diwas at Rabindra Bhavan here on Friday in presence of DoNER Minister, Jyotirditya Scindia.The Janajitya Gaurav Diwas is observed on the birth anniversary of Bira Munda across the country.“To mark the Janatiya Gaurav Diwas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch a nationwide programme- Dharti Aaba Janatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhijan at Ahwa in Gurajat on Friday. Chief Minister Manik Saha will inaugurate the West district level programme at Rabindra Bhavan in presence of DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia”, District Magistrate (DM), West, Vishal Kumar said at a press conference.Tribal welfare will be the main topic of the programme, he said adding the state government aims to reach out to the tribal people especially the Reang community with the 21 welfare schemes.“In West district, there are five tribal dominated blocks. We are launching a baseline survey to check the status of welfare of tribal people, especially Reang community. If any gaps are found, we will try to address these as the government wants to attain saturation level in all the 21 schemes”, he said. According to Singh, around 1.25 lakh tribal people will benefit from the PM JANMAN and Dharti Aaba Janatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhijan.“PM Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Jal Jeevan Mission, road connectivity and electricity are the benefits which will be given to the people living in tribal areas”, he said
