Man charged with abduction and rape of minor

Agartala: Jan 14: The Kailashhar Women's Police Station has made a significant breakthrough in the gang rape case of a 13-year-old girl. The main accused, Turab Ali, was arrested from Chennai, South India, and produced in court on Tuesday.

 

Turab Ali, along with two other youths from Srinathpur Gram Panchayat area of Kailashhar, allegedly forcibly abducted and gang-raped an eighth-grade student. After the incident, which occurred on January 8, 2024, in the Manuvyali Gram Panchayat area of Kailashhar, the girl's father filed a complaint against Turab Ali, Tafzzul Ali, and Fuez Ali.

 

The police registered a case and started an investigation, arresting Tafzzul Ali and Fuez Ali earlier. However, Turab Ali managed to evade capture until the police tracked his mobile phone and apprehended him in Chennai. This development brings some relief to the victim's family and the community, who have been seeking justice for the heinous crime.
