Minister Visits Gomati District Hospital Amidst Complaints"

Agartala: Nov 16: For a long time, patients and their families visiting the Gomati District Hospital in Udaipur, Tepania, have been complaining about the quality of services provided. Finally, on Saturday, the state's Finance Minister, Pranjit Singh Roy, along with Gomati District Council Chairman Debal Deb Roy, MLA Abhishek Debroy, Udaipur Municipal Chairman Shital Majumdar, Health Department Secretary Kiran Gitte, and other health department officials, visited the hospital to assess the situation.
During the visit, the delegation inspected various wards of the Gomati District Hospital in Udaipur, Tepania, and took note of the existing problems. Later, addressing the media, Minister Pranjit Singh Roy said that there have been complaints about the services of the Gomati District Hospital for a long time, and the state government will take immediate steps to address these issues.
The minister further stated that a large number of patients from South District, Sipahijala, Gandacherra, and Gomati District come to this hospital for treatment. It has been observed that they often face difficulties, and the wards are also not in good condition. The purpose of today's visit by the delegation to the Gomati District Hospital is to ensure that these issues are addressed promptly so that patients and their families can receive proper services.
The minister also mentioned that the state government has initiated plans to upgrade all district hospitals in the state. If the district hospitals can provide proper services, it will help reduce the burden on the Agartala GB Hospital, he added. Later, the delegation visited the Tripura Sundari Subdivisional Hospital.
