Agartala: Feb 26: Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath recently visited the Tripura Agricultural Growth Authority (TAGA) office, where he interacted with employee organization leaders and provided updates on the state's agricultural landscape. Tripura has 58 blocks, with 30 achieving self-sufficiency in agriculture, while 28 lag behind. The districts of West Tripura, North Tripura, and Unakoti are less advanced, but Dhalai district is catching up, and South Tripura, Gomati, Sepahijala, and Khowai districts have achieved self-sufficiency.

Minister Nath emphasized the crucial role of farmers, calling them "providers of food," and highlighted the importance of government employees in supporting agricultural growth. He stressed that government employees motivate farmers to adopt scientific farming techniques and implement government schemes. The minister also emphasized the need for active participation from government employees in executing the state's agricultural policies and projects.

The government is focusing on promoting scientific farming methods to enhance productivity and help farmers become more self-reliant. Minister Nath assured that the government is committed to advancing farmers' development through various initiatives .
