CBI court orders four years of jail custody for three people accused of embezzling lakhs of rupees using fake certificates

Agartala: Mar 07: A CBI court has sentenced three individuals to four years of jail custody for embezzling lakhs of rupees using fake certificates. The accused, including a marketing officer of Tripura Bamboo Mission, were found guilty of misappropriating funds from the Tripura Bamboo Mission and various Government of India schemes ¹.
The investigation revealed that the NGO, Women Development Society, used fake certificates to embezzle the funds. The department became suspicious and investigated the NGO's documents, which were found to be fake. A case was filed against the NGO, which was later transferred to the CBI.
After testimonies from 48 people, the CBI court delivered the verdict, ordering four years of jail custody for the three accused, along with a fine.
