West Bengal youth arrested for crossing border at Sabroom

One youth from West Bengal’s South 24 Pargana was arrested while he was crossing over international border at Sankarghat in Sabroom subdivision, police said on Monday.The youth identified as Rudra Chowdhury was produced before a local court for taking necessary legal action.Police said, BSF jawans while patrolling along the international border spotted one youth was proceeding toward Indo-Bangla border on Sunday morning. The jawans chased and caught him. After preliminary interrogation, he was handed over to police for taking legal action.During interrogation, Rudra said he hails from South 24 Pargana of West Bengal wanted to go Ramgarh in Bangladesh to meet his uncle by crossing over the international border.“Since is not having any valid document to travel Bangladesh, Rudra was arrested and forwarded before a local court as per procedure. We are probing the case”, said an official
