Mother of two daughters elopes

Agartala, May. 2 : A mother of two daughters hailing from Karaiban in Bishalgarh subdivision had allegedly eloped with another man, her mother told the reporters. An FIR has been lodged with the local police station on Saturday but police could not trace her out till now.

Sima Das, a resident of Pandapur under Madhupur police station was married to a person of Karaiban. Around eight days back, she left the house without telling his family members.

After being alerted, her mother went to Karaiban and took back two daughters of Sima. As the family itself is struggling for livelihood, they informed the matter to Pandappur Gram Panchayat authority.

On Friday, a delegation of the Panchayat visited the house of mother of Sima and extended support in materials. The up-pradhan urged the government to arrange shelter for two ‘orphans’ or else they will be in big trouble.
