BJP Launch Constitution Day workshop

Agartala: Jan 09: A Constitution Day workshop was held on Thursday at the Agartala Nazrul Kalakshetra, marking an important occasion for the state. The workshop was inaugurated by MP Rajib Bhattacharya, who lit the ceremonial lamp. Finance Minister and In-charge of Constitution Day, Pranjit Singh Roy, along with State In-charge Rajdeep Roy and other dignitaries, was also present.

In his address, Minister Pranjit Singh Roy highlighted that January 26th is both Republic Day and Constitution Day, emphasizing the significant role of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. He noted that Constitution Day is celebrated with great respect every year, and this year, the state BJP has organized a series of events in its honor. These programs will run from January 11 to January 25, fostering awareness about the Constitution.

The Minister also took the opportunity to criticize the opposition, particularly the Congress and Left Front, accusing them of not respecting the Constitution and using it as a tool for criticism. He argued that a nation cannot progress without respect for its Constitution. He stressed the importance of dispelling misinformation and raising awareness about the Constitution among the people.

Further, he urged that efforts should be made to reach out to different areas, educational institutions, and communities to ensure a proper understanding and respect for the Constitution. By doing so, he believes that the people's appreciation for the Constitution will be deepened, contributing to the nation’s progress.
