BJP to launch fortnight long drive on constitution

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party will launch a fortnight-long campaign to celebrate the Constitution of India  and spread awareness about its values and the role of its architect Dr Br Ambedkar, in the run-up to the Republic Day on January 26, Tripura Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy told media persons on Tuesday.The move aims to counter the attacks from the opposition parties accusing it of making alleged attempts to weaken the values of the country's guiding document.To oversee the 15-day long drive that will run through between January 11 to January 25, the party has constituted a state level committee. Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy had been entrusted with the responsibility of in-charge of the committee. Other key members of the committee comprises General Secretary Bipin Debbarma, media in-charge Sunit Sarkar and MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury and Ajanta Bhattacharjee, the Minister added.“In all Mandals, we have formed three member committees. The statewide campaign will involve people right from the booth level. Events will be organized in booths, in Mandals, in District levels and finally at the central level in the state capital. A workshop in this regard will be organized on January 09 next,” the Minister pointed out
