Agartala: July 20: Due to ongoing unrest, student protests, and deteriorating law and order at various colleges and universities in Bangladesh, the Indian High Commission has advised Indian students to return to their country as soon as possible. Many students studying in colleges in Comilla and Dhaka have already returned to India through the Integrated Check post.

The BSF, deployed in ICP, is providing all possible assistance to these students. They were welcomed warmly and without any hassle, and necessary assistance in terms of transportation arrangements was also provided.

As of 1 pm today, almost 50 students have entered through ICP Akhaura check post. Most of the students coming from Bangladesh are medical students from Mymensingh Medical College Hospital in Comilla. These students are primarily from West Bengal and Assam.

Commanding Officer Rakesh Sinha and Patel Piyush Purushottam Das are overseeing the smooth transfer of these students under the direction of IG BSF Frontier Headquarters Tripura.
