Mobile Shop Owner Severely Injured in Knife Attack in Agartala

Agartala: Oct 15: In a tragic incident a mobile shop owner, Shankar Saha, was critically injured in a knife attack in the Melarmath area of Agartala on Tuesday evening. Police rushed Saha to the hospital in a bloodied condition. The accused youth, who was assaulted by an agitated mob, was also taken to the hospital for treatment. The police have launched an investigation into the incident, leaving the area in a state of shock.

According to an employee of Saha’s shop, an unknown youth entered the shop and began verbally abusing the owner. When Saha confronted him, the youth stepped outside and then attacked Saha with a knife, injuring him in the head and abdomen. Bystanders apprehended the youth and beat him before the police arrived.

The incident has raised concerns about safety in Agartala. The police are investigating the motive behind the attack and are working to uncover further details.
