Agartala: Oct 08: Leaders from the state committee of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) have met with the Minority Welfare Department to present a three-point demand. The organization has set a deadline of two weeks, threatening to launch a larger protest if their demands are not met.

SFI state secretary Sandeepan Deb highlighted that the scholarship amount for students enrolled in B.Ed and D.El.Ed courses under the Minority Welfare Department has been reduced from ₹90,000 to ₹50,000. According to the department’s officer, this reduction is due to difficulties in receiving funds from the state government.

Sandeepan Deb emphasized that the reduction in scholarships has caused various problems for the students, leading to the presentation of three demands to the department.
