Girl Commits Suicide

Agartala: Oct 15: A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Sonamura, where Nikita Das, a young woman, committed suicide following a heated argument with her boyfriend, Sagar Shil, over visiting a Durga Puja pandal.

According to the details of the incident,  young woman, Nikita Das, took her own life following a heated argument with her boyfriend, Sagar Shil, regarding a visit to the Durga Puja pandal. The incident occurred in the Sonamura area near the old petrol pump.

Nikita and Sagar had been in a relationship for the past year. On Monday, they argued over Nikita’s desire to visit the Durga Puja pandal with her brother, whom Sagar did not know. This disagreement escalated, leading to Nikita’s tragic decision to end her life. She was taken to the Sonamura Community Health Center, where she was declared dead.

Following the incident, it is reported that members of Nikita’s family assaulted Sagar at the health center. The Sonamura police responded to the scene. After the post-mortem, Nikita’s body was handed over to her family. The incident has left the community in shock.
