Agartala, June 24, 2024: Frustration mounts among job-seeking youth as the Tripura government faces criticism over the delayed release of the Group D Exam Merit List Result. Despite years passing since the interviews, the merit list remains elusive, leaving aspirants in limbo.

On Monday, young women seeking employment staged a protest outside the Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) office. Their impassioned plea echoed the four long years of waiting and uncertainty. The concerned department’s negligence in publishing the results has pushed them to take action.

The protesters demanded an immediate announcement of the results, fearing that further delays could jeopardize their future. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and Labor Minister Tinku Roy were urged to intervene. The looming Tristar Panchayat election adds urgency, as any delay could exacerbate the situation.

However, the JRBT’s hands are tied. If the election is declared promptly, announcing the results becomes impossible. The unemployed youth hope for clarity – not everyone will secure a job, but those who do will find some stability. Meanwhile, the police intervened to control the protest, but the underlying issue persists: the JRBT awaits the elusive green signal from the government.
