Successful Drug Raid Conducted by Amtali Police

Agartala: Oct 22: In a recent operation, Amtali police station successfully conducted a drug raid, resulting in the seizure of 16,000 Yaba tablets and 6 kilograms of marijuana. The raid took place early in the morning at a residence in the new neighborhood of Phultali. The homeowner, Debajit Bhowmik, was arrested during the operation.

According to Dr. Kiran Kumar, Superintendent of Police, West District, the estimated market value of the seized drugs is approximately 42 lakh rupees. The raid was conducted based on a tip-off received by the police, indicating that a large quantity of drugs was being stored at Debajit Bhowmik’s residence. Following the successful raid, a case has been registered against the homeowner under relevant sections of the law.
