Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday said that a comprehensive review mechanism has been adopted to make sure that the results of the CBSE affiliated 125 Vidyajyoti Schools could be improved. The Chief Minister who also holds the charge of the education department also noted that in the last academic year, 87 percent students passed the class X board exams and 75 percent students passed the class XII board exams from the Vidyajyoti schools.“So far, we have conducted 41 training sessions for teachers in which experts from CBSE joined as resource persons. SCERT also played a very vital role. We have also roped in people from CBSE Centre of excellence and institutions like Kendriya Vidyalaya and Ramkrishna Mission to guide the teachers on the teaching methods of the CBSE curriculum,” the Chief Minister said.He also maintained that district level panels have been constituted involving principals, Vice-Principals, DEOs and teacher-in-charges of those schools for effective monitoring. “We have made use of Teachers’ Diary and Students Notebook mandatory in those schools. The topics which had been discussed in the classes must be properly written on both. For better understanding of the question papers, we have started framing pre-board papers exactly in the pattern of CBSE. Last five years question papers are being made available to the students and most importantly we have recently launched projects like grooming class and learning hub,” the Chief Minister added. Dr Saha was speaking on the last day of sixth session of the 13th Tripura Assembly in response to supplementary questions raised by Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman and Congress MLA Gopal Chandra Roy
