Agartala, June 21: A workshop on child protection laws was organized on Friday at Pragya Bhavan in the capital under the joint initiative of the State Child Protection Commission and the National Child Protection Commission.

The workshop was inaugurated by Minister Tinku Roy and Minister Shuklacharan Noatia.

In his address, Minister Tinku Roy said that those who are responsible for the Child Protection Commission have to work with their hearts. Because they have a lot of responsibilities.

For example, the Child Protection Commission workers need to regularly inspect children's homes and give importance to the care of children.

Speaking about children's homes in the context of the discussion, the Minister said that he had visited a children's home a few days ago and witnessed that the woman employed to cook had only cooked rice and dal for the children and then left for home. But the woman did not even think for once how the children would eat the rice and dal. So, the Child Protection Commission needs to pay attention to these things. So that the children can eat properly and study properly.

The workshop was also attended by State Child Protection Commission Chairman Jayanti Debbarma and others.
