Strict Surveillance on Noise Pollution Ahead of Durga Puja

Agartala: Sept 26: The police administration has announced stringent measures to control noise pollution ahead of the upcoming Durga Puja festival. Minister Animesh Debbarma informed the media that strict action will be taken against violators.

Minister Debbarma highlighted that the Tripura High Court has issued a ban on the use of high decibel sound. He emphasized that while the state government is not against the enjoyment of the Puja, it aims to control noise pollution. This has led to discussions at various levels about the issue.

He clarified that people are not prohibited from enjoying the Puja, but a time limit has been set. Compliance with this time limit and adherence to the rules are essential. Essentially, no noise pollution beyond the court’s order will be tolerated.
