Tension Flares at MBB College Campus as ABVP and TSF Clash Over Admission Process

Agartala, June 24, 2024: Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) College witnessed a heated clash between students of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the Tripura Students’ Federation (TSF) on Tuesday. The confrontation erupted over the ongoing college admission process, resulting in serious injuries to TSF student Kharang Debbarma. Debbarma is currently undergoing treatment at Agartala GB Hospital.

According to eyewitness accounts, a scuffle broke out during the admission process, leading to the unfortunate incident. The TSF has squarely blamed the ABVP for the attack. However, the college principal’s alleged inaction has raised concerns. Despite the incident occurring in their presence, the principal has not taken any decisive steps.

The college community is reeling from the shock of this violent clash, and demands for a thorough investigation and strict action against the perpetrators are growing louder. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation as tensions remain high on campus.
