Uttam Biswas drug dealer arrested with brown sugar in Tripura

Agartala: Feb 27: In a daring anti-drug operation, Lefunga Police Station and Bamutia Police Outpost successfully apprehended notorious drug dealer Uttam Biswas, seizing 11.21 grams of brown sugar from him. The operation was led by Lefunga Police Station OC Sahadev Das and Bamutia Outpost OC Anthony Jamatia, along with a large police force .

What's remarkable about this operation is how Bamutia Outpost OC Anthony Jamatia caught Uttam Biswas. Jamatia chased him down in a Singham-style pursuit through muddy terrain, all while wearing civilian attire. The police had laid a trap based on secret information, which ultimately led to Biswas' capture.

A case has been filed against Biswas under specific sections of the NDPS Act, and an investigation is underway. He's set to be produced in court today. This operation is a significant win in the fight against drug trafficking in the region.
