Four Bangladeshi women and their handler were arrested from Agartala railway station on Tuesday night in what could be seen as the state has becoming a safe corridor for human trafficking. The GRP personnel arrested one Indian handler identified as Mohammed Kasem Miah, along with four Bangladeshi women named Mim Sultana, Rubaya Sultana, Ritu Begum, and Jyoti Khatun on Thursday.“Out of the four arrested women, two were on their way to Pune and the other two to Ahmedabad,” OC of GRP Agartala, Tapas Das told the media “Mohammed Kasem Miah, whose residence is in Sepahijala district had helped the women in their illegal journey to outside the state through train service.A case has been registered against the arrested women and their helper at Agartala GRP police station and all of them were produced before a local court seeking police remand.  Sources reveal that human traffickers often lure Bangladeshi women with promises of work and take them to the state before transporting them to outside the state. They are forced to move to different locations in the country where women are forced to embrace illicit activities
