Jitendra Chaudhruy, the leader of opposition in Tripura Assembly has been reelected as CPI(M) Tripura state secretary on Friday, said a senior party leader.“Jitendra Choudhury, the incumbent CPI(M) state secretary has been reelected for the second time unanimously at the party’s 24 th state conference ended here today”, senior party leader Pabitra Kar said.A 61-member state committee has also been constituted at the state conference for the next three years. Six women are included in the state committee.The three-day CPI (M) state conference commenced on January 29 by organizing a massive rally where coordinator Prakash Karat party and former Chief Minister “I am grateful to the party for reestablishing faith in me. This is an added responsibility for me. My priority will be not only to strengthen the party but also to serve the people in restoring democracy, order of constitution”, Chaudhury said.Earlier, the party had completed its internal conferences at branch, local, divisional, and district levels in preparation for the state conference. The party has more than 4,000 branch committees, over 300 local committees, 24 divisional committees, and eight district committees in the northeastern state
