Power Minister urges people to grab opportunity for rooftop solar plants

Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath urged the people to register for their names for installation of rooftop solar plants under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana scheme at Bardowali during a special camp at TSECL office here on Friday.The campaign drew participation of 14 vendors involved in the installation of solar plants and representatives of nationalized banks to finance the prospective consumers. While speaking to the media, Nath said, “In the wake of prime minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana scheme, the state power department has chalked out plan to organise camps to assist the people register their names for setting up solar plants to promote solar energy in the state”.The Minister said, “The prime minister is a visionary leader who always thinks a few steps ahead. We all know that solar energy is defined as the transformation of energy that is present in the sun and it will never exhaust. Therefore, he has emphasized solar power with an aim to provide electricity to every household through the Surya Ghar initiative”.The camp facilitated the registration process for the PM Surya Ghar Mufti Bijli Yojana, ensuring that residents could easily enroll and benefit from this scheme.Dy Speaker TLA Ram Prasad Paul, Secretary State Power Department Abhishek Singh and Managing Director of TSECL, Bishwajit Basue remained present in the camp.
