Agartala: Jan 17: BJP Tripura President Rajib Bhattacharjee criticized the CPI(M) and Congress during a rally in Agartala on the 75th Constitution Day celebration. He accused the CPI(M) of hypocrisy, pointing out that the party, which aspires to establish a one-party dictatorship, is now promoting Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's legacy while aligning with Congress ¹.
Bhattacharjee alleged that the CPI(M) had repeatedly opposed and undermined the Constitution and its framers during their time in power. He also criticized Congress for its historical disrespect towards Ambedkar and the Constitution, claiming that they had altered the original Constitution, removing significant elements that reflected India's culture and traditions.
The BJP leader accused both CPI(M) and Congress of attempting to mislead the public by promoting the Constitution despite their past actions that dishonored its legacy. Bhattacharya's remarks aimed to highlight the contrast between BJP's commitment to the Constitution and the alleged opportunism of its political rivals.
The rally, attended by several BJP leaders, including Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder and BJP leader Papia Dutta, demonstrated the party's stance on the Constitution and its legacy.
